As you can see, the website looks a little bit different. We're still in the beta phase of testing our new Esportsify website.
What does that mean for you? Well first, there is probably going to be a lot of missing information as we slowly try to migrate everything over. There are also probably going to be a ton of bugs and things that don't link to what you were hoping, or do what you wished it did. If you find something like that, make sure you post it over in the Suggestions/Questions/Ideas forum.
With the upgrade of the website, we are hoping that it will do a couple of things for LeagueKC.
- Creates another outlet to communicate, share information and collaborate on ideas. With the Esportisfy backend, it is a million times easier to display our team rosters, advertise for our sponsors and showcase our amazing Twitch and Youtube content. If you are interested in doing any of that with LeagueKC, please fill out a Content Creator application and let us know how you'd like to help!
- Provides the community with a more substantial home base. I know a lot of people like the Discord server and obviously that's not going away. But some people don't like the voice chat or text chat and for some things that chat just goes by to quickly to get the message out to everyone. The addition of the blogs and forums to LeagueKC should add an additional communication route for some things that we can't use Discord for.
- Establishes a much more stable backend. Our existing WordPress website was very customizable and you could find a plugin for almost anything. But because of that, there was a lot of extra bloat, a bunch of plugins written by different developers that didn't like each other which made the website fairly slow. With this all-inclusive new Esportsify site, everything is going to run much more smooth and be multitudes easier to manage.
Definitely let us know if you have any questions, suggestions or ideas, we'd love to hear them!
