This Isn't Goodbye, Just Some Cheesy Title
Today I would like to formally announce, I am stepping down from my positions as Owner, Manager or whatever other role I may have filled in the past for LeagueKC. Between my family, work and starting back up at school this week, I simply don't have the time to devote to running this growing and flourishing organization. Look at this beautiful little girl I have to take up ALL of my time now!
I obviously will still be playing League and want to be a part of this community. I will be heavily involved in the handing over of accounts, contacts and anything else that the staff or community needs from me. I also plan on playing some games with everyone, still attending events and starting to do some more shoutcasting in my free time.
LeagueKC was created for and exists because of the community. We are a group of people that have a passion for League of Legends. We want to play and bond over that. There's no reason that the group should be run by an individual.
After discussions with the rest of the LeagueKC staff members, we have decided that LeagueKC should be run by a group of staff members that will all have a specific focus they are dedicating the most time to as well as are held responsible for. Our new structure looks like this:
Events - Xeno, Blastoise, BluPrint - This team should be planning and organizing regular events for the group. A minimum of a monthly meetup. But this can include tournaments, watch parties and any other get together you'd like to pursue.
Teams - Cpt Jax Sparrow - This team will be in charge of managing the Team Captains of every team. Team Captains should be self-sufficient for their own teams and report to this staff member. They will make announcements about changes and tournament results, be responsible for keeping players aligned with the code of conduct and defining what the organization to team relationship looks like.
Community - tehspiritbear, BADxW0LF, Strait Savage - This team will be responsible for the Discord server and other social media for LeagueKC. Making sure there are appropriate and timely posts on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and the website to engage all current and potential members of the org. This team will also be responsible for the LeagueKClub members and taking care of the forum maintenance. This team should also be responsible for things such as Extra Life involvement and recruitment to the org and other ventures.
There are a couple other positions, focuses and things that the staff will be bringing up shortly, but those are surprises! Can't wait to see what this team can do for this organization.
I'd like to take a moment to thank the LeagueKC community for what you have given me. Good times, rough times, many games of League and tons of new friends. All of it has helped me become a better person, live out a dream and have the time of my life doing it. I can't thank everyone enough for all of it. I can't wait to see where this community goes and how far we can take esports in Kansas City. It only takes one little idea to start a movement, who has an idea to start the revolution?
